Bad Typography Around Us

Hi everything, I hope that you are all stay safe at home during this lockdown season due to COVID-19. My task for this week is to find 3 bad typography around me, it could be the typography of a packaging, it could be the brand logo of our cloth or anything. Typography important are everywhere around us, when we sees words and fonts, it is called typography. For not taking any more time, let's get into the 3 bad typography.

1. Maggi

The first one is our famous instant noodle Maggi. I search online and most of the answer for the font used for the logo "Eurostile" font. For my opinion, the font used for the logo Maggi is not neat, it seems like a bit distorted because it looks stretched horizontally just like this photo of Taylor Swift below.

Hence, it doesn't have any special characteristic or whatsoever but the color used is good though.

2. ASUS VivoBook

Next is this Asus VivoBook. I'm not saying that Asus is bad but I don't really like the idea of it's typography which is a mixture of capital, regular and bold letter. The ASUS is fine but the VivoBook is quite disturbing when it is suddenly have a bold typography. I think it would look nice without the bold letter, perhaps it is just Vivobook without the b in capital letter and the book without bold letter.

3. SWIEE Pomade

Last but not least is this SWIEE Pomade. I don't know if it is SWIEE or SWEE but the middle seems like an I letter. It is really disturbing with the typography seems very distorted and the font is not very nice. When it comes to pomade, we will think about a classy and elegant or vintage design but this one I'm not very sure.

So that is my opinion for the Bad Typography around me that I could find, I hope that these product could make some improvement with their typography. Typography is the tools that makes a product seems high class other than its' logo or color.
